Getting Ready for Disability Day on the Hill

The #LetsGetTogether series is back for its final episode! Our program directors are excited for Disability Day on the Hill, and to get ready for DDH, they've answered a few questions on the importance of this day and why it matters for Disability Rights.

If you missed the first two episodes, be sure to catch up on them! Watch Rep. Cameron Sexton (R-Crossville) and Lipscomb IDEAL student Jason Rogers demonstrate what a successful meeting looks like between a legislator and a community member, and be sure to listen to a panel of experienced advocates recap their experiences and offer advice for having a great meeting on Disability Day on the Hill.

Disability Day on the Hill events are NEXT WEEK! Join us Tuesday, Feb. 13th from 5-7 p.m. CST for a Community Reception, where you'll be able to meet and connect with fellow community members. Then, let's get together on Wednesday, Feb. 14th for a day of advocating for Disability Rights. More information on both of these events can be found here.
