DMRS Accounces Family Training Sessions

Dear Friends:
The Office of Consumer and Family Services (OCFS) in the Division of Mental Retardation Services (DMRS), volunteer family members, and advocates will conduct Family Training sessions across the state beginning April 8, 2008. Topics of the training include: ‘What is a Waiver”, ‘The Registration and Application Process for DMRS Services and Benefits of the Waiting List”, “Conservatorship Role and Responsibilities” and “How to Access Early Periodic Screening Diagnosis and Treatment (EPSDT) /TENNderCARE Services”.
Please accept this letter as an invitation to attend these training sessions. The training should prove to be very beneficial to you and your family. DMRS staff will also be available to answer any questions and provide assistance as needed.
The training dates, times and locations are attached and may also be viewed on the DMRS website at www.state.tn.us/dmrs. They will also be advertised on a variety of other organization websites.
