Disability Day on the Hill (DDH) is next week! Our campaign this year is “Adventures in Access.” Next week will be a new adventure for us all as the House has canceled all committee meetings next week except for Finance, Ways & Means. What does this mean for DDH? It may mean that because they’re not meeting in their typical committees (Transportation Committee, Education Committee, etc.) legislators may have more time for constituent meetings. If you have not yet, we recommend confirming your meeting with your legislator for Disability Day on the Hill. If you can’t schedule a meeting or have extra time, we’ll share a short list of legislators who have sponsored good bills for Tennesseans with disabilities so you can stop by and strengthen relationships.

Our updated bill tracking document is available at: February 20, 2026 Bill Tracking

The calendar of bills in committee hearing next week is available at: February 20, 2026 Bill schedule

Two new resources just in time for DDH:

  1. TN Disability Coalition does not have bills in motion at the state legislature but we are actively collaborating with advocates, stakeholders, and policymakers to shape thoughtful, impactful policy solutions in three policy areas: paid family caregiving, education and access to care. Learn more at:

2026 Policy Priorities

2. Our members are part of communities across Tennessee and represent a wide range of diagnoses and disability experiences. In 2026, several members are advocating for policy change by championing bills at the TN General Assembly. Learn more at:

2026 TDC Member Legislation

We hope to see you in Nashville next week!
