Where will these parties take place?
We’re hosting three Parties in the Park events:
- Memphis (POSTPONED DUE TO WEATHER) New Date: October 17th: East Parkway Pavilion, Overton Park

Will food be provided?
Yes! You can’t have a party without food. We will be providing the following food and drink options:
- Pork hot dogs
- Beef hamburgers
- Vegan option
- Bun
- Gluten-free bun
- Chips
- Large bowls of separated fruit
- Cookies
- Bottled water
Will transportation be provided?

No, transportation will not be provided to events. However, all parks are on main public transportation routes and paratransit routes and have parking.

A limited number of $25 gas cards are available to help with travel costs for those who need them. You can request one when you RSVP. Please note: gas cards will be given out by TDC Staff at our exhibit table during the event on a first-come, first-served basis.
Is there free parking?
Yes, free and accessible parking is available at each location. Spaces may be limited, so we recommend checking the venue’s website ahead of time if you’re not familiar with the area.
Will the parties be accessible?
All events will take place at outdoor parks, and accessibility features may vary by location. While we’ve worked to make these events as inclusive as possible, we encourage you to check each venue’s website for details that fit your family’s specific needs.
We will also have access to a portable, fixed-height adult-sized changing table in an enclosed tent for folks to utilize at each event.
How can I request accommodations?

You can request disability-related accommodations when you RSVP.
What will there be to do?
Each event will include:
- Local organizations sharing resources and information
- Bubbles and games for kids
- Free food
- Time to connect with others in the community
Do I need to bring anything?

Nope! You don’t need to bring anything, however you’re welcome to bring anything that helps you stay comfortable, like chairs, umbrellas, cooling items, etc.
